Cable Extrusion
Heatsense Cables are one of only two companies in the UK able to provide cable extrusion using PTFE for coating cables. This unique extrusion process allows us to produce high-quality PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) cables. We manufacture a range of PTFE equipment wires and cables which meet the BS3G210 standard, as well as Single Shot Thermocouple Cables in Figure 8 and Round Styles; all meeting the rigorous requirements of IEC60584-2 Class 1, ASTM E230, and ANSI MC96.1.
Cable Extrusion is a specialised manufacturing process that involves the precise extrusion of PTFE material to create cables with exceptional properties. PTFE, known for its excellent temperature resistance, chemical inertness, and electrical insulation, is an ideal material for demanding applications. The ram extrusion process ensures uniformity, precision and consistency in the extrusion of PTFE, resulting in cables with high-performance characteristics. PTFE cables offer superior temperature resistance, excellent dielectric properties, low friction and resistance to chemicals making them suitable for demanding industries and environments.
PTFE extruded cables offer remarkable temperature resistance, with continuous operating temperatures up to 260°C, making them suitable for extreme temperature environments.
Single Shot Thermocouple Cables are specialised cables used for temperature measurement and control in extreme environments. These cables are manufactured to strict standards, including IEC60584-2 Class 1, ASTM E230, and ANSI MC96.1, ensuring accurate and reliable temperature readings. We offer this range of cables as Single Shot Thermocouple Cables in Figure 8 and Round styles, meeting the diverse needs of our customers in various industries.
