Heatsense Acquires Cords & Lacing Tapes Business from Carlisle Interconnect Blackburn
The closure of Carlisle Interconnect Blackburn enabled Heatsense to purchase all plant, equipment and a significant amount of stock relating to the cords & lacing tapes business.
The plant, equipment and stock has been relocated to Heatsense and the cell is fully operational. This business acquisition has resulted in Heatsense acquiring several additional high-end aerospace customers.
Heatsense already supplied all the PTFE yarn used by Carlisle Blackburn to manufacture cords and lacing tapes, so this was simply a logical addition to our business.
