UK Atomic Energy Agency Visits Heatsense Cables
The UK Atomic Energy Agency (UKAEA) visited Heatense’s manufacturing facility in October 2023 to explore areas of collaboration in the design and development of cables for the atomic sector.
Whilst Heatsense currently supplies the UKAEA with a range of specialist cables the visit enabled the UKAEA to gain a far greater understanding of Heatsense’s capabilities in the nuclear field.
Nuclear fusion is the process by which two light atomic nuclei combine to form a single heavier one while releasing massive amounts of energy.
A significant amount of research is being undertaken globally in the search to replicate the power source that fuels the sun.
According to Reuters, companies have raised around US$5 billion in private funding alone in the quest to replicate the power source that fuels the sun.
